SAPS Gauteng is having the celebration of 50 years of females in SAPS. All five districts as a build up towards the main commemoration that will be hosted by National sometime in January 2022.

The celebrations started on the 19 November 2021 at Tshwane District with the purpose of honouring police women who died at the hands of their partners. A march was conducted in Stinkwater to raise awareness about GBV (gender based violence).
On Wednesday, 24 November 2021 the female officers and members from across Gauteng Province,

continued with the commemoration and at gathering at the Wall of Remembrance at SAPS Linden, to commemorate female police officials who died in the line of duty in Gauteng Province.
Various build up events have been planned in the Province, leading up to the National celebration which is set to take place during the month of January 2022.

Deputy Provincial Commissioner: Corporate Services, Major General Patricia Rampota and Gauteng Women’s Network Champion, Major General Anna Sithole are taking the lead in the celebratory events.
