Lakeside clinic nurses are aggrieved by the appalling conditions they have to work under. The facility offers one room. This one room caters for everything, their personal belongings, medication is stored in boxes on the floor, baby vaccinations and adult consultations are all done there. There is absolutely no privacy for patients. Everybody hears what others are discussing during consultations. There is a small worn out tent outside for family planning consultations and blood pressure measurements. If it rains everybody has to be turned away. This situation has been carrying on for four years.
The ward councillor Mr. Mabaso claims to have exhausted all possible means to resolve the situation without success.
