As people were celebrating the heritage day the family of Mr Teboho Letebele saw their house and belongings being destroyed in fire. It was on 24th September at around 15H:00 in the suburb of Vereeniging in Peace Heaven. Fortunately, no one was harmed by the fire, they all managed to evacuate the house in time.

Mr Letebele told the Reporter that God was good. He mentioned that before they noticed the fire the mother was busy feeding their 1 year 9 months’ baby when the baby just stood up and ran outside that was when they realised that there was fire in the next room.
Neighbours and friends as well as the fire brigade tried to take out the fire but it was too little too late to try and save family’s belongings.
It is still unclear what started the fire as the fire brigade and the police are still investigating the cause of the fire.
For donations to the family; anyone who wishes to support them with clothing, blankets are kindly advised to contact Mr Letebele :(083) 959 4462 And Mrs Tersia (084) 050 4826.
