Apostle Gift Waka Mtambo does not only touch lives during sermons, he continues doing so outside church through his feeding scheme, which provides meals to underprivileged children in Evaton North every Friday.

“It is part of his vision to feed and clothe the needy. I and my wife decided to run with the feeding scheme after realizing the need of food and clothes due to lack of employment in the community of Evaton North.”

The feeding scheme was established in May 2022 and feeds between 80 and 100 children every Friday.

Mtambo says they started running the feeding scheme with their church offering but later managed to get sponsorship from Angel Network SA.

When it comes to challenges, Mtambo says at times it is financial challenges as the number keeps increasing and even adults joining to be fed.
