On 30th of December, Thursday at Heidelberg and Ratanda policing precinct. Sedibeng District conducted a Sting operation which is normally executed on weekly basis.

The operation produced fruitful and mounting results. Different offenders were arrested after they had committed different offences and suspected criminal activities.

“O KAE MOLAO operation as a joint approach with various Stakeholders and law enforcement personnel had created inroads and gave no space for criminals. Sporadic criminal behaviour and opportunistic crimes have been squeezed and suffocated. Crimes such as: Trading in liquor with no legal documentation, dealing in drugs, motorists who contravene Road Traffic Act and other crimes around the District of Sedibeng.

?04 Suspects arrested for possession of drugs

?01 Suspect arrested for selling illicit cigarettes

?01 Suspect arrested for possession of an unlicensed fire arm, rifle and live ammunition.

?22 Traffic fines issued

? 37 Undocumented persons arrested.

?01 Suspect arrested in terms of Domestic Violence Act

? 02 Arrested for selling liquor without licence and illegal shebeens shut down. Liquor was confiscated    and handed over to the SAPS exhibit storage.

As the operation concluded the South African police service (SAPS) on behalf of major general Zodwa E Molefe were pleased with the outcome of operation “O KAE MOLAO”.
