On the 17th of December in the early hours of the morning, South Africa Police Service (SAPS) in

Boipatong Vanderbijlpark got a huge surprise when a +- 24-year-old couple came rushing through the door at client services (SAPS) to plead with them to call an emergency transport (ambulance) to ferry them to the hospital.

Sgt Thembeka Maxambela spoke to the Reporter on behalf of the acting station commander Captain R Makhene.  The time was not on their side as the young woman suddenly had labour pains. She had help from Sgt Pekeur and Cst Smith and the woman gave birth right there inside the Police station and the beautiful soul was welcomed.

The bouncy baby boy was born and emergency transport arrived soon after the woman gave birth and they were both taken to Sebokeng hospital for further care. The Reporter salutes the two brave women for assisting the poor woman to give birth.
