On Monday, 08 August 2022 police in Sedibeng recovered presumed stolen livestock, an unlicensed firearm and house breaking implements in Evaton, following a stock theft incident. Police reportedly received a stock theft complaint and immediately activated K9 sniffer dogs to assist in tracking down the stolen livestock.

The K9 dogs led the SAPS members to a shack in Evaton township around Sebokeng.  The 22 sheep and 16 goats were found in a garage of the shack. The Police also recovered house breaking implements and a 9mm pistol with the serial number filed off.

Further investigation is still underway.
