The Evaton SAPS Second- hand Goods Co-ordinator officer Captain Malindi and communication Constable Msibi jointly conducted Scrap-Metal Operation within Evaton policing area on Wednesday 27 October from 09:00 till 12:00
The SAPS Team visited three scrap-metal dealers checking for compliance with Second- hand goods act and to detect if they are not receiving illegal items that they are not supposed to receive and sell. During the visit fines were issued to the value of R3000.00 for non-compliance with the regulations of scrap business act.

The Evaton SAPS Station Commander Brigadier was very pleased and comfortable with the successive and achievement by the joint efforts in reduction of theft of cables.
Corporate communications officer Constable Thulisile Msibi also mentioned that she was pleased by the outcome of operation.
