ACCUSED CONVICTED TO 10 YEARS IMPRISONMENT FOR MURDER.

Sebokeng magistrate court sentenced Gordon Ramokgodi an adult male to 10 years’ imprisonment for murder on the 29 September 2021. Gordon Ramokgodi was found guilty on a case of murder he

committed in 2018.He was sentenced to ten (10) years and declared unfit to possess a firearm.

Gordon Ramokgodi and the deceased were sitting and drinking alcohol at Evaton west, when one of their friend arrived with a lunch box. Gordon Ramokgodi tried to take it however the deceased stopped him. That’s were Gordon Ramokgodi started fighting with the deceased and later went to his place to fetch the knife and stabbed the deceased in the neck multiple times.

Brigadier Sibuyi congratulated the investigating officer Sergeant   Bheki Mkhonza who after taking over the investigation remained focused, who collected all necessary evidence that led to the successful conviction and sentencing of the accused.

“The sentence today will send a strong message to other criminals who think they can murder anyone and get away with it. I encourage our members to continue to prioritise the investigation of cases against women, children and other vulnerable groups”
