The MMC for Public Works, Councillor Vincent Jones officially handed over Town Substation for the long awaited refurbishment project on 25thFebruary 2022.

MMC Jones calls for all beneficiary consumers in Bophelong, Bophelong Extensions, CW Areas, parts of NW 7, Bonanne and surroundings Agricultural Holdings to support the project by making sure that there are no stoppages that could be due to strikes or protests.

“Project stoppages should be avoided by any means necessary, contractors must be kept out of the boardrooms and left on site where they do the work,” MMC Jones said.

Town Substation refurbishments form part of the municipality’s ongoing efforts towards ensuring that consumers in Emfuleni municipality get uninterrupted and reliable power supply at all times.
