Two unknown males knocked and forced themselves into a blue container tuck shop owned by foreign
nationals at Tshepong a new developing area near De Deur. On the 28th of December approximately at around 20:45pm;
It is said that one of the suspects stabbed the shopkeeper on the head with a knife. They then robbed him of airtime and cash. The shopkeeper screamed for help and community members rushed in numbers to assist him.
The two unknown males closed the container from inside prompting community members to cut the steel door and gain entry.
The two unknown suspects were then assaulted with various objects, taken outside the tuck-shop and set alight with different materials. They both died on the scene.

The police were called to attend a double murder crime scene. SAPS Spokesperson, Sgt Shaan Motsapi said: “Two different cases of Attempted business robbery and double murder have been registered for further investigations. The identity of the two suspects remains unknown at this stage and no one has been arrested so far.” The wounded shopkeeper was taken to hospital for medical assistance.
